Leton Water System Customers:
The Leton Water System is required by the USDA to perform a rate study every 5 years by the Louisiana Rural Water Association (LRWA). The board met on February 15,2026 at 6:00pm at the Community Center with MR. Clarence Beebe, Rate Analyst with LRWS. Mr. Beebe presented a long-length presentation, and it was recommended that we increase the rates and implement a 2% increase annually starting in July 2027.
NEW RESIDENTIAL RATE:
$44.00 base rate includes up to 1,000 gallons
Then $8.75 per thousand gallons thereafter
Plus $1.00 Safe Drinking Water Fee paid directly to the State
NEW COMMERCIAL RATE:
$105.00 base rate includes up to 3,000 gallons
Then $8.75 per thousand gallons thereafter
Plus $1.00 Safe Drinking Water Fee paid directly to the State
The new rates will start on the bill due by July 15,2026 and the 2% increase will start on bills due July 2027.
